Even if you don't get off to a good start, by playing safely you ensure your survival until later stages of the game and will be able to influence endgame scenarios heavily.Īlso, that's not to say you can never rush someone and fire torps from 2km. You will never die in the first five minutes! But sometimes you also won't land any hits in the first five minutes, if you get unlucky with them changing course preemptively a ton. Oh yeah, I'd like to add that this playstyle that I use is very slow paced and requires patience. I played the Minekaze just like I played my Mutsuki, hovering just outside of their detection range, but it's harder to safely manage that when you have <1 km to work with - especially since if you fire at exactly 7km slight adjustments to their course will save them by range limit alone. But maybe that's why I did comparatively poorly in it. To be honest, I never played the Minekaze like that either, hehe. It has that bad rep because people just got out from the minekaze, which is a great ship, to a rather average one, and the come as close as possible and drop your torps is the main ijn dd tactic ![]()
